I am a Spring 2024 graduate from the University of North Texas, receiving my BFA in Communication Design with a concentration in Graphic Design, along with a Marketing and Art History minor. In my free time, I enjoy printmaking, visiting used bookstores, collecting trinkets, and going to Clampitt Paper to stockpile as many paper samples as possible. As you might be able to tell, I also love the sea and have a very healthy obsession with lighthouses. I also have a deep passion for print and tactility but I am also fascinated by the interactions and designs that can exist only in digital spaces. I love exploring possibilities in both digital and physical mediums and I am constantly inspired by the power of design and its ability to create memorable experiences that forge a strong connection between a product and its audience. Above all, at the core of my values, I cherish the creative process. I enjoy the research, the piles of sticky notes, and the long romantic walks to the scanner and back to my computer. My love of the process is what drives me and influences my practice. Andy Warhol has been quoted saying, “I want to be a machine” and I truly feel the same way. I love feeling like I’m behind the scenes working on a movie set, making sure that every detail is just right. Even if no one sees all the different takes and all the time it took to create the final product, the process is what I am most fond of and what I find the most rewarding.
